I’m dead set for leaving to Cape Verde in July. A country that’s in Africa, but isn’t too African, or so I’ve read. For those who haven’t started delving into country details, this entry will be the place to start. As far as what you need to know about this country, I could delve myself into hours of research, yet learn something new each time. For those looking to capture the basic gist of it, here’s some handy linking goodness.

Article on Sal International Airport expansion. When I was a kid, I lived through the TF Green airport expansion in Providence, and I lived through the changes in the economy it provided. This PPT expands on the benefits of expanding this airport on the country’s most tourist-y island.
That should get you going. As much as I am throwing myself in, I am trying to prevent being too knowledgeable as each island is unique. I know I will be spending 3 months in the capital, Praia, but then I’m off to an undisclosed location from there. I’ll keep you posted.
