This Year’s Spring Break
March 9th, 2005 by Sarin
will be in sunny Rhode Island.
Reasons being : being entirely broke, and coming home for good measure.
Broke, broke, broke. And while I don’t rub it in as much as I used to, I am flipping broke. With my party lifestyle, I had a hard time paying for last year’s spring break even though it was fairly cheap. I worked alot in the summer, but wasted it all by going out ALOT. I don’t remember the last time I played with money and the weight of an $1000 debt isn’t that bad if you had that same amount for a year.
Many of you know I also became a big bum and took winter break off. So I was becoming unproductive and easily acquiring a bigger debt to come into my spring semester. On top of that, I still sucked up and will cover the debt of my books for this semester (and last semester) and since my mom was between jobs, I covered the cost of getting my wisdom teeth pulled (amazingly only around $300). I might have to talk to her later about that.
The cost of living in RI is not steep. However, I think the cost of going out, is fairly ridiculous. At times I don’t feel like a local because I don’t know the cheap college bars. $7 for a watered down Long Island is exactly what I am looking forward to when it comes back to heading back down to Providence. It should be sweet. Join me.
I will be home most of the week doing jack. Mostly worrying about getting any work out time or where to go out that night, but it shouldn’t be a big deal. Give me a call if you’re around, as seriously there is so much more to do in Providence than in stinky Durham.
Holla at yo’ boy.

Yo! I’m back and slowly working towards resuming my goal of being the first (and probably the only one) to reach 100 posts. I am totally free to visit you in the RI this spring break. Holla at yo boy when you’re free (or feel free to see me in Manchester).
Dude you should come down for St. Patty’s Day! Plenty of Irish bars down here. Lauren and Jonah should be around as well.
Keep in touch.
