Where’s the love?
I’m beginning to neglect writing in this blog. It’s the one thing I was afraid of when starting it up, and that day always creeps up and I keep stalling it. Keeping up a blog can be time consuming, and while it enriches me and allows me to clear my head of these demons, the ’social’ aspect of blogging fades in and out all the time.
What I mean is that while the blog is maturing (maturing as in it’s no longer new and is now just a commodity like every other discussion topic), I’m having a hard time tracking or following anybody who reads it. I know several people who are avid followers, but then there are those who aren’t so obvious. I assume everybody looks at it once in a while… but they don’t ‘read’ it. That’s where the problem is.
How are you guys getting here? The most obvious of course is clicking my profile link. But how many of you guys are coming in from different sources? Hard coded? Link from one of my friends? Facebook profile? MySpace profile?
How many subscribe to this blog? If so, what newsfeed program are you using? I know somebody out there has this on their My Yahoo page, I know, I can track these things. Seriously, I would just like to know who is out there reading this, so I could eventually gain back interest.
Commenting has also hit a brand new low. For the month of February, I wrote some entries but garnered ZERO comments. Writers, authors, bloggers, whatever love feedback and that is what can make or break a writer. I want some comments people!! Let me know what you guys are interested in.
When people write in journals assuming nobody reads them, they are the most honest. I was honest at some points during my blogging phase, but have held myself back later because what I was writing was ‘catching attention’. Now it’s like, I don’t know who reads it anyway, I might as well just not hold back.
I don’t know how I feel. I would like to get back into the swing of things and give you guys more. Guys, I’m talking about, are you readers. STRANGERS SPEAK UP! If you are avidly following this blog but I don’t know about it, let me know! 100 hits a day and I have nothing to show for it. I shouldn’t be alone, the stuff that I post about that keep me up at night are not confined to me and I know somebody’s got something to say. Let me hear it.
