Semester’s Over!

Let’s see how good my memory is.

These past weeks for us college kids have been rather unstructured since seeing the end of Thanksgiving. The semester work kicks into full gear, time becomes very precious, and the holidays creep in. Even a guy like me, who spends more time online than most… had to stop and weigh in all things of high importance.

Which is why I can say it was a great relief to finish my last fall semester in college. But not from saying “oh, it’s just cuz of holidays”. No, it was because of schoolwork. Basically fall semester in college consists of before Thanksgiving and after Thanksgiving periods.

Before Thanksgiving, your classes are like a tease. From now on, we’ll call the semester ’she’. She tempts you into thinking that you would have it easy, or have it hard (whichever it is, it will be the opposite after Thanksgiving). She leaves your projects dangling at the end of the semester, so you have your breather now (instead of after climax! oh!). You get no homework, so you’re not really involved, you’re partying often, hitting up the gym regularly and maybe stressing about everything that is not her. You think everything will be ok, at this point you’re stroking her hair, massaging her parts and trying to figure out what turns her on. At the same time she’s going over your muscles to see what you’re made of.

Then you get to break for Thanksgiving, let’s call this a bathroom break.

Because she was so grateful to give so much time to yourself to get ready, she is waiting patiently for you. Though this time it is now ‘after Thanksgiving’ and she’s waiting in bed with a strap on dildo.

She begins to give you first warnings about what is about to happen. She tells you that you have a term long project in every class you are in, and you’re about to get fucked in the ass by a girl with a strap on dildo.

And it gets worse. While you getting uncomfortably fucked in the ass, you have trouble concentrating, trouble getting in touch with your group members, trouble writing, trouble talking to professors, and trouble with yourself. All the while wondering what you did to deserve to get royally fucked. You scream in pain, hoping your roommates and friends will hear how hard you’re getting fucked. But they can’t hear you because they are getting fucked as hard or harder. This will continue for the last two weeks of the semester and at times you wonder what exactly you are getting fucked with.

When it comes to studying for finals, it’s really not that bad anymore. You begin to wonder if that dildo was made of sandpaper because now your hole is gaping wide open. But you enjoy this little relief of a wide open hole and you ignore the fact that your body is just getting used to big fat round things and studying.

Once finals are over, you think you might jump for joy. But nobody jumps for joy after getting royally fucked in the ass by a girl with a strap on dildo. In fact, the end of the semester was very anticlimactic. You’re in bed panting, relieved that it’s done but confused and embarrassed at the cost that you paid. In fact, the end of the schoolwork is the not the most important thing in your mind, you got holidays and some partying to do.

That, my friends, was what most of us went through. If my mind is as good as I claim it is, let’s see how well I can remember the blog worthy stuff.

  • School projects, the obvious stuff. One in every class, and 3 of them were in groups. Imagine the time that I spent alone. In this instance, I was spending days and a rare Saturday in McConnell finishing up stuff. There were numerous 12 or 14 hours days, some of them were topped off with a long walk in the snow. I kept my composure throughout most of them and didn’t really complain as much as I could have.
  • A good share of Portsmouth visits. Once, with Alicia and Erin to some bars (Jack Quigley’s & Bananas), and a second time with Lauren and Karissa to Muddy River Smokehouse. I also pronounced Celtic Crossing “Selltick Crossing”, yanno, like the basketball team. I’m stupid I know.
  • A good share of Scorps visits as well. Once, I got to go after a 13 hour day in McConnell and had a whole pitcher without dinner (I think it was Court’s birthday). Another was after my classes were over. Damn, I ran into so many girls that night!
  • Jumping off bridges feedback. I got a lot of good feedback from my entry about jumping off bridges, and maybe I was a little too harsh on myself. Although some of the feedback was pretty funnny. My favorite one has to go to Danielle “…i just didnt want you to think you were alone in all your feelings about people and home and attachment and girls in trucker hats…”
  • Finished Christmas shopping. One trip, I caught up with Kaleena on a mini trip to Kittery, and on another trip, Alicia convinced me I was spending too much time hiding in McConnell. I also had to sneak around some trips to get those last on my list. (Suckers!)
  • Met with Nasty Nat. Someone who shares my problem of having a site that is overshadowed by a wealth of pictures. He and I will be working on some new dynamic websites centered about Durham. It’s great to know that some readers do care and make it known that they read and that they read often.
  • Started the massive playing of videogames. I treated my Xbox to some new games, especially after swapping my HD. Half Life 2 for PC is near amazing, and I just started GTA: San Andreas this afternoon and played for 10 hours straight. The game is slowly leaps and bounds better than I expected.
  • Went to some holiday parties. One was at Jon & Stef’s, and so many old friends were there! Granted, I did live with the guy for 2 years, but it’s still fun to see some peeps I didn’t run into enough this semester. Another was for Whittemore School faculty. Good sherbet punch, and bean chilli. As always, way hard to wake up for. More holiday parties to come, I’m pretty sure of that.
  • Watched and listened to a great share of movies and music. Saw some good DVDrips on my big flat screen :-), and I damn near have an almost perfect music collection now. 583 albums! All handpicked.

So I guess I remember more than I should. Yesterday I suckered in and played quarters at the apartment with the roomies, Phil & Courtney. It was an end of the semester drinking day, but I felt I already had my share. It was one of those rare occasions that I drink during the day, but it’s over now and I wasn’t too hung over. We played video games for hours after, and yesterday I packed and moved back home.

And now I’m here. I don’t have a definite plan while I am home, maybe catch up on working out, maybe overcome my coffee problem. It will be a big relaxing period fo’ sho’. I will be back at UNH for New Years however and I expect to see you all there.

Seriously, it’s big. No annoyed neighbors, maybe no APMs and definitely no quiet hours. It is our time to shine. Bring it on, bitches!
