Grove St. Gangsters 4 Lyfe!
December 26th, 2004 by Sarin
Where have I been for the past 5 days?
In reality I have been at my parent’s house. In my own little mind, I have been roaming the streets of San Andreas. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, that is.
While the other hit games of the season were also sequels, it’s hard to not pre-judge this game. However, once you get in, you will realize the games similarities and largely what makes it so different from its predecessors. This is the rare sequel that doesn’t even feel like such. It lives and breathes as if it is it’s own entity.
With so much I have done, I still have yet to ‘really’ touch the surface. I have worked and upped my stats for my character in fictional Los Santos (based out of early 90s Compton) for a couple of days before I got bored and decided to move along with the progress of the game and see the rest of its value. And I realized today, that even though I have seen only about 10% of the game, is that this is a very unique experience.

Venturas Rocks
There is still so much to do that I am looking forward to. I haven’t been to Las Venturas (A model of Las Vegas), driven on a model of the Golden Gate Bridge, gambled, had a succesful girlfriend, become top gang of Los Santos, win some street races, fully pimp out my car, parachute off a skyscraper, and tons more.
I haven’t felt this way about a video game in a long time. I feel ‘attached’ to my character as I worry what would happen to him by the end of the game. At other games I probably would not frustrate myself into doing the mundane tasks that I have done but I feel that everything that I am doing makes sense. I get excited, I frustrate myself, and I throw my controller across the room sometimes because I am so sucked in.

I own these guys
This is it. This is probably the best the PS2 can do. Don’t deny it. A map 6 times larger than Vice City, the best musical soundtrack of any video game, a stellar voice cast that includes Samual L. Jackson, Andy Dick, Charlie Murphy, no load times, hundreds of mini games, and oh yeah lots of vehicles to steal. ![]()

And now I’ve drooled all over the computer. However, I was never very good at GTA in any form….I enjoy cruisin’, offing innocents, and picking up prostitutes more than completing missions
*SPOOGE!* I have gots to get me that game! Of course, who knows if I’ll have time to play it now that I have to waste the rest of my life setting up my new DVD burner and FUBAR PS2 Online Adaptor. : P
Miss ya buddy, come back soon!
Drool, spooge…
Well I could say I damn near peed my pants but that would be an understatement.
I spooged in my pants too.
Explains why my pants have been sticky.
I got the game. I love the game. I AM the game.
Yes. Once you start building up respect stats, it is when you feel you start owning the place.
