Toga Toga Toga

Just a friendly reminder of the Toga party, 404C Gables, Friday night of course. Even if you don’t show up with a toga, just come and hang. From past experience, Toga parties aren’t really good unless you live in a greek community. And we all know what the Gables thinks of greeks.
This past Friday, the gang and me went out to Boston again for Christine’s birthday. It was another fun time on the T, with us acting like fools in front of locals whose T time is also reading time. Folks, we’re sorry for being obnoxious. We got off at the Prudential Center, and even when it was cold I wanted to at least step outside. I’ve been in cow country too much and it was a breath of fresh car traffic that was a good relief. It was a good break.
Anyways, we spend time at Barnes & Noble, ate at Cheesecake Factory and my poor stomach couldn’t handle dessert. We got back late, and that was pretty much the highlight of my week. I didn’t study at all that weekend and I paid for it pretty bad. I got to watch a nice movie, and just plain veg.
Many people like to insist that since I am in business school, that I don’t do alot of work. On my viewpoint, I agree on half of that. Sure, we have it easy, no classes on Fridays, most of the time never having any homework, and at least half of our requirements are mickeys. But from what Tuesday reminded me, was that we do still have to study our asses for exams just like everybody else.
I crammed for an exam for a little over 12 hours on Tuesday. I didn’t expect to, but the material hit me like a wall because I really wasn’t paying attention in class. But it happens to everybody yanno, rest for a week or two, and then get hit smack in the face with heavy shit. Anyways, I studied enough, considering I answered all the questions I knew in the time given. Crazy what you can do, if you study long enough.
I also like to add, that most of the work I do, I don’t do in the location known as home. You’ll almost never find me studying in my room, on weekends, or such. I prefer to do such at a library, or even when I am at work. You see, you’re much better off studying at a place such as an office, where you know you’re not supposed to have fun. And for me that’s fine. I just set up office in any place where there is not a computer.

I actually do about half my homework at Zyla’s, the half I don’t need my computer for, anyway. When I’m on register at night it’s always sooo slooow and plenty of time to read and research case studies.
Yay Cheesecake Factory! I’m going there Saturday
I guess that is a hell of a lot more productive than working with dozens of computers. I swear stupid AIM, will distract you for hours.
