Funny how

the simplest memories, are the funniest ones.

From one of Justin’s comments:

I was telling one of my other friends a couple nights back about the time we went to Newmarket and you almost fell out of my car - those were the days, huh.

I just think it’s funny how we tried numerous times to get Justin to come and hangout with us and every time he never showed. Now all of a sudden he misses the “good ‘ole time?” What’s up with that?

    Easy now.

It’s because I’m a stupid kid, who needs to grow up and realize that actions have consequences…did I say that?

Come on, now. We’re all of equal footing here, at least, I think so.

My apologies Justin. It just seemed for a while there that you were giving us the shaft. But, I don’t know what’s been going on in your life for the past year or so. All is good. Glad to have you back. What HAVE you been up to? You mentioned something about working with teens. Nothing pornographic I hope.

    He videotapes them.

Hey now. Nothing sketchy or Paris Hilton-like. I actually worked on a documentary this summer up in Hillsboro, with the basis of learning about media literacy, but it really was about the process and the experience. We presented it to a Domestic Violence Group as such, who’re looking to implement a similar project to promote their message to/with teens, and it went really well. Actually, after that, they offered up some money, along with UNH Co-op Ext to facilite stuff. I don’t know exactly what that means, or what it entails, so who knows. I’ve got the upcoming months free, and all that. It’d be nice to have some extra cash as well.

You know, I’d be up for doing the catch-up stuff in person, or at one of 404C’s infamous parties -now that I’ve actually done some drinking, go figure.

Oh, and Sarin - my sister’s a college girl now. Don’t be getting any ideas.

You did some drinking? Right on.

I read that post on your LJ about how your sister came home from college and you guys all crowded up and began to yell at her. It made me laugh.

As far as ideas go, I’m sure she’s pretty kinky herself.

You know Justin, Sarin still has that picture of her. You’d have to ask him though as to what it is he does with it. Catching up in person sounds like a decent idea. I MIGHT be free this Friday if you guys are. And whatever happened to putting Academic Failures on DVD? I saw Mr. Nick Dakhoulis at the end of last semester and he had artwork for the cover and stuff but he said no one ever came to pick it up. It looked real cool though.

    FRIDAY SOUNDS AWESOME.

What should we do though? I think I am itching to watch something retarded. Maybe take Justin out to a bar and watch me and him act like idiots.

    Something of the like.

It will probably need to be on the late side of Friday. Court and I are going to see, “Garden State” at the MUB (That movie kicks sooooo much ass). I’d be down for a little drinking and maybe some mother fuckin’ Halo 2 bitch! Get drunk and shoot stuff. Time to let my Texas birth rights take control.

  11. on 17 Nov 2004 at 12:34 amSarin

I actually finished Garden State yesterday.

I have mixed feelings about the movie. I watched it alone, to try and take it all in. I also watched it in halves… and that didn’t seem to work. Apparently many of the things in the movie I never picked up on. To me, it seemed like a well written screenplay, but it didn’t interest me the first time I watched it.

I think I need to see it again. In the dark, where there’s no hum of a computer, where I can actually follow the dialouge more carefully.

Not saying the dialogue is bad, I actually found Natalie Portman’s character really charming.

Yeah, maybe it was because I could relate to the characters in several ways but it really is an excellent film. Especially for a guy who is taking his first crack at directing. My advice is to get thee to a MUB viewing. Also, what’s the deal for Friday? Is Justin gonna come up? As of right now I’ll probably only be free sometime in the afternoon.
