I started using Middle Man as my AIM client
October 18th, 2004 by Sarin
and I think it’s affecting my communication. Middle Man is a beta AIM hack that let’s you do all useful stuff like cloning, logging, ad blocking and all that. This one however gives you the ability to control AIM away from your computer. You can change your away message, put one up if you forgot, and also check the messages that people have left you. It is helpful to be able to check messages and change messages away from my computer, but it doesn’t do what I want it to do sometimes.
If I login from some location, I can see my messages and can manipulate my “aways” fine. But I can’t seem to log out correctly. When I am home, my away messages are always set to be the last one I used, and last night I was apparently still watching the game when I shoulda been sleeping. So please, I apologize in advance if my away message indicates that I have been watching TV for days.
Oh AIM, I wish I could just whip you into shape.
