I think many people cross the border of being a geek on more than one occasion. I will admit to being once every once in a while. I however also think it sucks to fit into a stereotype and get sucked in. Shame on those people who don’t think they can do better. I spend enough time around geeks to know their mannerisms and what gets them excited. I left the geek world ages ago, but yeah people still like to be geeks because they don’t think they can do better.

Geeks naturally smell bad, are lazy to get up and do anything, and have more of an attachment to their imaginary friends online or in their community and they think everybody else is subpar. Yeah, subpar. I know, I was there once. As bitter as they are, most geeks will probably realize their self worth and find normal things to be quite exciting. A list of geek like things that I can say have never followed goes as such.

- I have never named my computer some non macho, binary sounding name based on some sci fi character or their online Alias. What kind of shit is that? Oh, I think “Gandalf” died on me last night. No. Computers are not people, and your Alias? If you needed an Alias to be cool online, then you should have sex with another Alias. That’s right “Gollum” should have sex with some sick pervert who named his computer after his obsession with “Arwen”.

- I have never used lol in conversation. Laughing out loud. If you were really laughing out loud, you are either really laughing or typing in CAPS. C’mon. Stick it into Microsoft Word and it’s a friggen’ fragment. lol. It looks like some baby’s head is about to be crushed by two poles.

- I have never tried the do not shower look. That is gross dude. If you think hair looks good because that natural shine is achieved by weeks of accumulating skin oil give me a friggen break. Girls will know better because you already smell anyway. And if you don’t, well consider yourself clean because you spent your life in your hole.

- I have never been a complete in the know about everything in geek interests, and are either a rumor starter, a forum poster, or tell guys who are too busy at work how to do things. Actually take that back, you guys are pretty cool, but don’t ever catch me in a forum giving advice and expecting a lol.

- I don’t criticize somebody for being trendy, and then shop at Hot Topic. Hot Topic is trendy, look at all the cute lil goth girls who go in and try to be a “trendy” goth. C’mon, if you tell me you don’t try to be trendy, then try wearing clothes against your type. Don’t think you can do it.

- I don’t hate people. I don’t really, people get on my nerves, but geeks hate all non-geeks. Not in the “trendy” geek look? Oh go away from me. I listen to Weezer too, but I don’t dress like I worship Weezer like every other “trendy” emo geek.

- I also don’t criticize music because it is the cool thing to do. Only geeks do that. Oh I hate country. Oh I think Rap is crap. You don’t make sense. You’re judging music by stereotypes and you probably do it because you hate people who listen to country or rap. Become original and study who sucks because I could rip your favorite artists to pieces. Dude, I’m sorry that your friends will probably think you are queer for listening the Dixie Chicks, but then you’ll be listening to your music because it is the cool thing to do. Not cool man. Listen to what you feel like and don’t be a fake.

I’m sure I could come up with more later on, but I think being a geek is like a sand whirlwind. Get sucked in and its hard to get out. Stop trying to be geek or cool, you suck.
